We are looking for an Operations Associate to join our global team and help grow Business for Nature’s impact now and in the future.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a multi-stakeholder international coalition. To be successful, you will be a self-motivated team player who has excellent organizational and communications skills with the ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects and maintain a high level of attention to detail. It would be helpful if you have a passion for environmental and economic sustainability and experience working with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures and geographies.
We work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment. You need to be comfortable working autonomously, with the ability to lead projects from inception to completion. As a small team operating across the world, you should feel comfortable working virtually.
Job overview
Title: Operations Associate
Reports to: CEO, Business for Nature (30%) and Partners & Operations Manager, Business for Nature (70%)
Term: Permanent position, ideally starting May 2023
Location: Anywhere providing you have the right to work, with a preference for Latin America and Africa, with the ability to work remotely and travel occasionally
Position: Full or part-time negotiable

Salary range: $US20,000 – $US45,000 full time
This is a good-faith range based on a full-time (40 hour/week) employment contract. Salary may vary based on number of hours worked, local market and experience. The range listed is one component of the total compensation package for employees.

Key job responsibilities:
CEO administrative support
Help manage diary and schedule meetings
Support CEO when travelling, including by preparing relevant briefings and information, in coordination with relevant team members
Assist with other tasks as needed
Partners & Operations
Support with monitoring and reporting to our network and funders (e.g. contribute to indicator tracking, quarterly reports)
Support with partner engagement (e.g. new partner onboarding, quarterly partner calls, including developing PowerPoint slides and drafting partner updates)
Support on other operations projects as needed (e.g. billing, invoicing, third-party contracts, internal file and CRM management, technology integration)
Team administration
Lead event logistics where relevant, including finding venues and booking dinners
Support BfN team internal logistics and administration processes. (e.g. developing guidelines for setting up events, workshops)
Update website through Squarespace when relevant
Send out mass emails from Zoho when relevant
Manage Zoho mailing lists where relevant
Manage the contact inbox and act as an entry point for all BfN exchanges
Attend relevant meetings, events and conferences where appropriate
Qualifications, skills and experience:
Work experience in operations / administrative role(s)
Team player, self-starter, dependable and willing to provide support on a variety of tasks and take the initiative where needed
Excellent English written and verbal communications skills. We are open to applications from all nationalities, but you will need to have excellent written and oral English to do this job successfully
Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to work on multiple projects at the same time, prioritize, and deliver high-quality results on time
Ability to research, analyze and present information in an easily digestible way, with high attention to detail
Ability to work independently, solve problems, find answers and manage workload
Ability to collaborate with co-workers and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, cultures and geographies. Committed to BfN’s values above
Proficient with Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Mail, Word, Excel and Power Point
Experience using Zoho and Squarespace would be beneficial but is not required
Passion for environmental and economic sustainability
