Business for Nature is hiring an intern to join the communications team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone starting their career to work in a multi-stakeholder international environmental coalition. We are looking for a passionate individual with good all-round communication skills and a willingness to learn.
We work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment. You need to be comfortable working autonomously. As a small team operating across the world, you should feel comfortable working virtually.

Reports to: Communications Director, Business for Nature coalition
Term: 8 months, starting ASAP, ideally Q2 2024
Location: We are a virtual team so you can be based anywhere providing you have the right to work there. You may need to travel occasionally.
Position: Full-time (part-time also negotiable)

The Communications Intern will fulfil the following functions
Editorial calendar: Help develop and maintain an editorial calendar across the Business for Nature coalition, mapping internal and external announcements and activities.
Copywriting: Help copywrite and edit various content produced by the Business for Nature coalition including mass emails, quarterly news updates and news articles.
Media monitoring and press lists: Track media articles mentioning/referencing Business for Nature and help grow and expand our list of media contacts.
Digital communications: Support the relationship with our digital agency across all our social media channels, including fact-checking, planning and copyediting posts. Monitor questions/comments on social channels.
Administrative support: Provide general support to the communications team, including contacts and mass mailing management, website management, translation coordination, meeting organizations and note-taking in meetings.
Qualifications, skills and experience
A graduate degree in journalism, communications, media, Public Relations, digital communications or any other relevant field
Excellent written and spoken English
Familiarity with social media platforms, digital communication and PR
Strong organizational and time management skills including excellent attention to detail
Strong sense of responsibility for taking projects through to completion
Experience of working with tools such as Canva, Squarespace and Zoho would be a plus
Knowledge or understanding of sustainability and/or nature and biodiversity would be a plus
