It’s Now for Nature’ is a joint global campaign to bring together all businesses to act on nature and contribute towards a nature-positive world by 2030. We hope to encourage businesses and financial institutions to develop and publish a nature strategy to set out how they are addressing the nature crisis, in a public and accessible way, which in turn will help drive accountability.

We heard directly from companies including BNP Paribas, GSK, Natura&Co and Salesforce who are on their nature journey and shared key insights and first-hand experience of elevating and tackling the issue in their companies.

The main takeaways from the webinar:  

  1. The journey towards a nature-positive future cannot be undertaken by a single government or company. Collaboration is essential to bring about effective and enduring change - we need more, not less, cooperation to protect and restore nature in line with the Global Biodiversity Framework.

  2. Ambitious action on nature goes hand in hand with long-term business performance and resilience, and by setting a nature strategy companies will have a roadmap to reduce negative impacts, boost business resilience, bring new commercial opportunities, create long-term value and strengthen climate and sustainability goals.

  3. Consumers, investors, policymakers and other stakeholders are demanding change. It is critical to engage with all stakeholders, including Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities who are important stewards of nature and biodiversity and whose rights we need to protect and acknowledge.
